In short

• We do not keep your images. They are processed in memory and deleted within 1 hour at the latest, or immediately when you click "Delete now".
• Images are never written to disk by our application, never used to train anything, and never shared.
• No account, no cookies, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party scripts or fonts.

What we process

When you upload an image, or give us a public image URL, the server reads it, removes the background with an open-source image segmentation model (BiRefNet) that runs on our own server, and keeps only the resulting cutout in memory so your browser can display and download it. The original file is discarded as soon as processing ends. Only the pixels of the image are used: embedded metadata such as EXIF data (which can include location) is dropped and not stored.

The model is fixed software: it does not learn from, store, or send out your image, and your image is never passed to a third-party service.

How long we keep it

The cutout stays in server memory for at most 1 hour so you can finish your session, then it is removed automatically. You can remove it immediately with "Delete now". Closing the tab also asks the server to delete it. If the server restarts, everything in memory is gone.

Image URLs

If you give us a URL, our server downloads that address on your behalf. Only public http and https addresses are fetched. Do not submit links that contain private tokens, because the address is sent to the site that hosts the image. Your browser also loads that same address directly, to show it to you while the background is removed and to compare it against the result afterward; that means the site hosting the image sees your browser's own address for that one request, not only ours.

Logs and IP addresses

Our application does not log image content, file names or the URLs you submit, and its access log is turned off. Your IP address is held in memory for up to two minutes to limit abuse (rate limiting) and is not stored afterwards. The network or hosting provider that runs this service may keep its own connection logs; contact the operator below for details of that setup.

Cookies and browser storage

We set no cookies. If you accept in the privacy banner, we store your last background color and crop ratio in your browser's local storage so they are pre-selected next time. If you decline, nothing optional is stored. Your choice itself is remembered in local storage. Change my choice

The language you choose from the links at the top is not stored at all: it is simply part of the page's address.

Security

Only PNG, JPEG and WebP images are accepted, checked by their actual content rather than their file name. Everything else, including PDFs and SVG files, is rejected. Uploaded files are re-encoded from pixels, so anything hidden in a file's metadata or after its image data is discarded.

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
